Parish of the Messiah

 

Join us for six Thursdays evenings during Lent for prayer and reflection, and fellowship. The program entitled “Holy Lent: A Season For The Spirit” begins on February 21 and concludes on March 28. Each session starts at 7 PM with Evening Prayer in the Chancel followed by reflection and discussion at 7:30 PM. Our focus will be Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams’ book Tokens of Trust which we will read and reflect upon together. In his book, Archbishop Williams ponders such questions as:

 

Archbishop Rowan Williams is the 104th Archbishop of Canterbury, a prolific writer, and a former Professor of Divinity at both Oxford University and Cambridge University.  He has often been described as one of the greatest modern theologians and pastors in our turbulent and perplexing times.
